I really want to see her in action and be there for support but she has told me that she has a couple of intimate scenes with a guy. She said she would love to have me there but would understand If I didn't want to as she wouldn't want me feeling uncomfortable. I don't mind her doing it as it's something she loves but I don't know if I could personally see it especially as one of the scenes is a sex scene. I'd love to see her doing something she has worked so hard for etc but would I regret going to see it ? Reply to this Question Share |

I wouldn't. But that is my choice. Then again, I would probably never be with a woman who is in a drama club in the first place.People are a package deal. You either take the whole package, or nothing at all. I wouldn't take the package. You did. So, go see it. If you can't deal with it after all, well, then at least you know.

At the end of the day, she goes home and does this shit for reals with you. On stage, sex scenes are highly uncomfortable for the participants, even more so then the family watching.
I mean they have to PRETEND to cheat on their partner, infront of an audience, directors, cast, lighting and sound guys... trust me, it's not sexual at all once you've done the scenes five million times in that setting. If they are good actors, they will be able to hide their uncomfortability.

Don't go. You will be able to support her in the future (another show). But seeing her in such situation can be very hard for you, even when you know it's fake.
Some people can handle it, some people can't. You don't know before hand but I wouldn't risk my relationship over this.

They're getting naked on stage? Really? Wow! I wouldn't go, I wouldn't be able to tolerate it. I guess one thing you could do is read what actors' partners say about seeing their loves in simulated sex scenes?
In this case, if in doubt, as you seem to be, don't go. If she is any good, she will get another role later on and you can go then.
Good luck.
