We only dated for a month and now he wants to return to being friends which is what I want too. However I still have feelings for him. Also we went to being friends and it's super awkward at school. We just can't seem to find anything to talk about besides school. Is there anyway to make it seem less awkward? Or to improve out friendship?

It will be awkward for a long time because of those feelings. What you can do is think to yourself how you act with other guy friends and go from there. Also you really have to push past those feelings you have for him and tell yourself that they shouldn't be there any more. I'm not saying you should never be with him but I have found that the sooner you convince yourself that those feeling should be somewhere else the easier the friendship is.
