It depends on each individual so it is not the norm to say it, i don't recall any previous partner ever saying it so in my experience no.
But then i have friends who are more lovey dovey with their men and not that i have asked but i will hazard a guess they would say 'I love you'.
My boyfriend and me are not very sloppy and we don't really say i love you to each other a lot but i guess i don't need that validation, words are cheap it's actions that mean more to me

I have read the answers and it's all silly.
Sex is an extension of love if you are in love and having sex.
Sexual relations(each time you engage in intercourse and such)can vary every single time.
You may say I love you sometimes and sometimes not, it depends on the mood. Romantic? or Hurried and "sexy."
Get the idea? Plus, everyone is a different person.
You may say I love you before sex and not during or you may say it after.
Every time can be different. There is not manual. There is no step 1 and step 2 for everyone.

Hi Op,
To be honest...the feeling of love has to be there first....before sex. Saying I love you during is like so in love with the sex, that I say those words.
Men need sex to feel love. Women needs love to give up sex.
If he only says I love in bed, then that is all he is after.
I say I love you every other time...but never during sex, because that is not why I loved her in the first place.
