It is big and perfect in every sense and I signed a sub lease contract already. There is five of us living there and everything was great. Until recently. One of our flatmate's ex told us he has got Hepatitis C (he never told us himself - but since then we checked and it is true, he admitted it to one of the girls). I know the basics about it, that it is transmitted only blood to blood and via sex etc but I wanted to ask whether I am at any risk living with the guy without sounding ignorant/close minded. I honestly don't know much about it but I know it is serious enough. I would appreciate opinions because opinions in the home vary. Some are freaking out and the rest aren't bothered at all. Thanks a lot in advance

My father in law is one of them (he's a surgeon, and caught it from a patient). There are no issues living with your flat mate, so long as you don't share anything that could have his blood on it, toothbrush, razors, grooming equipment, drug paraphernalia.
I'd be curious how he got it, and if he's being treated for it- I'd be more worried if he got it from a lifestyle that you don't want to be around.

I don't think you're at any risk for getting it Hepatitis C. As it can only be transmitted by blood-to-blood contact as you stated. If you ever see any blood disinfect it, matter of fact.. I'd recommend you to buy disinfecting wipes and a few bottles of hand sanitizer. Be careful, especially when you're in the bathroom, usually the toilet seat you could layer it with toilet paper, and wash your hands real good just to be extra secure.
