When I was in kindergarten, we only went for half of the day and didn't have lunch, so I had already made friends that year and knew where to sit at lunch in 1st grade. I never went to a different elementary school, and everyone from my class went to the same middle school. So I've never really had to worry about who to sit with. Where should I sit at lunch?

Sit with someone from your class you have lunch in. That is what I did, befriended a nice girl in my class and just sat at her table at lunch. I did it quite a few years when my friends and I didn't have lunch at the same time. If nothing else sit at a table with an empty seat and friendly looking people. Don't worry too much about it, everything will be ok. Good luck !

Try not to worry about it too much, sweetie. I'm sure there'll be plenty of other people in the same boat as you + you'll make friends in your classes before lunchtime so you'll have someone to talk to.. Then as the weeks go by you'll start to develop your own group of friends. Don't worry about being shy, it happens to the best of us! =] x
