writes: my dad wont allow me to take whey protein...i do regular workouts and it is recommended by my trainer....my family just dont want to hear about protein shakes and tell me that it doesnt suit me as i had a kidney stone problem in the past ...i fight with them all the time that it doesnt have anything to do with that ..but its spoiling out relations as we end up with really frustrating comments ...i am tired and badly need some whey ...please advise what to do ? no point in conviencing them ...i tried chicken,eggs and fish but that is not sufficient after tiring workouts! you should explain to your parents that its just a type of dairy product extract, ther probably thinking that if you start getting to serious then you may eventually turn to drugs, but a couple of plain whey protein shakes a day is harmless and would probably be just as beneficial for average (non weight training) people alike.
