Falling for my driving instructor

Question - (1 December 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 1 December 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I know this is such a cliche but I really think I am falling for my driving instructor. We get on extremely well, have the same sense of humor and we have been out for drinks together, which went v well and I am sure that he likes me too. He is ten years older than me (I'm 29) and we're both single. I need lots more driving lessons, and he's also a great instructor but I'm anxious that if something happens between us it could make things very awkward. Also whilst some of me could really see me with him for the long term, i am just out of 3 year relationship and am worried i might mess him around. How do I know if it's just a crush? On the other hand I think he's great and I don't want to miss out on a wonderful relationship. What should I do?

I would keep it friendly until you have passed your test and he is no longer teaching you to drive as that might really mess things up on way and another. When you are no longer his pupil then perhaps you can see if it might go further. Don't complicate life at this stage as you could end up looking for new driving instructor!Funnily enough when he is not your instructor you may not fancy him after all anyway.

Most likely its a crush. I think you should take it slowly giving yourself some time before you give in. But there is no harm in a lil flirting and merriment. :)
