A male Ireland age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Last year my very best friend told me that she loves me..

For some reasons I blasted her.. She's been my best friend for 6 years now and I don't feel love for her. She told me that no matter what happened she will love me... She also told me that she will search for the guy who is better than me...

Until she got herself a boyfriend last christmas

We're still friends.. In fact we always see each other in class. I don't know what happened but I have started to like her now.. I never knew that this was going to happen. Every time I see her the loves going deeper and deeper..

I cried during the valentines! It's supposed to be me and not her boyfriend who's having a good time with her in that evening. She text me happy valentines... When I saw that text message Ii started to feel bad for myself..

I know she's got a bf now so I want to move on..

Any advice how to do this?

If you're really sure you want her because you love her and not because you can't have her, you should let her know that if she's still interested, you're there, and that the first time she told you you just weren't ready. Maybe she still feels the same way...if not, stay friends with her. Just let her know how you feel. Easier said than done...but I'm sure you'll feel better whatever happens.

Thats tough mate. All i can suggest is that you don't see her for a while, try to get your mind off her. Go out and meet new girls, soon enough someone else will catch your eye.
