Ex came back into my life but I don't want to hurt my new boyfriend

Question - (10 February 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 11 February 2011)
A female Jamaica age 30-35, *eishap writes:

I was with my first boyfriend for 4 years and during the last year we broke up. During that separation I met another guy. It’s only been 3 months and I think I am madly in love with him. My ex-boyfriend came back and he wants us to have a second chance. He was my first and I love him but it’s not the same love I now feel for the other guy. I can see the change in him but I don’t know if I will be as happy as I am now. My new guy says he is not going anywhere even if I do choose to leave him for my ex. It’s now complicated because I am torn between two minds, but I do not want to hurt this guy…

A male reader, anonymous, writes (11 February 2011):

The new guy doesn't sound quite right if he tells you he'll stick around if you choose to leave him for someone else b/c if he was madly into you he wouldn't be able to stomach you being with another guy. You also don't appear to be that enthused about the ex so I don't see how that could work. Be careful of the new guy, he doesn't sound very authentic or in love.
