The only time we've really spoken was a drunken argument about 2 1/2 months ago. I'm pretty much completely over her, but today, out of the blue she calls me to see how I am. Tells me she's just finished work and asks what I'm doing atm. I talk for barely 2 minutes, then tell her I have to go into town to meet someone. Why the hell is she calling me like that, out if the blue??

Maybe she was bored, maybe she is trying to stay friendly, but, maybe she is upset at the new guy and is checking her options, maybe she is stringing you along and keeping you as a back up, or maybe she is trying to reconnect for some fun on the side. You are right to be suspicious, and brushing her off quickly was the right move. Always keep it cold and safe with the ex.

Dylan6264 is verified as being by the original poster of the question@VSaddict I was thinking that, but has been 6 months with no real contact, other than a drunken argument... It's totally out of the blue.

It is quite strange why she would just call out of the blue for no reason. Maybe she wants to be friends with you or maybe try and sort out the past so that you can both be on good terms. If it is really bothering you maybe send her a text message and ask her what was her reason for calling you.

Maybe she was bored or just decided to see how you were doing. But don't make it a bigger deal than it is. Sometimes exes do that with no intentions. This is one of those times, I think.
