I understand how you feel that the guy you like and your sister seem to be hitting it off...in the future why don't you tell your sister that you like a certain someone and ask her what she thinks about her keeping a distance from him until you get to know him well enough to be his special someone or to see if the two of you even hit it off.
Sisters are forever, but boys come and go, try not to let boys come between the two of you. Guys tend to go after what they want though, and you can't always decide who he is going to pick because it really is up to him and it isn't always just about physical beauty, maybe just in the beginning. It is charm and personality that will keep him interested....
For now, I would just concentrate on school, getting along better with your sister and being more honest and not getting too involved with any one boy, but have a number of guy friends that you like to go out with and talk to.
Things have a way of working out.
