I think had I spent a few of his younger years with him, I might not have the problem I am experiencing when I look at him and feel he looks older than most of the men I see in my daily routine.
Sharing your 30s through 50s will make a great deal of difference in how one may feel about a few years difference in age.

You are 22 years old, and he is 35. If you both feel like it could work, and you are in similar places in life (meaning you both want the same thing right now) Then it's not wrong at all. You are old enough to know what you want, and so is he. It's your business and nobody else's. But since you are asking this question, perhaps means that you are not sure ?

Do you feel he's too old for you, too? Your question isn't very clear.
