A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I broke up with my ex two months ago we were together almost 5years, I thought I was coping, but now im not so sure. Everything I do reminds me of him,and im constantly thinking about the past, it just seems that we were together for so long, and he was such a huge part of my life, that i just cant forget him!

I think I still have feelings for him and love him.

I havent made contact with him what so ever nor him with me, it feels like he has just disapeared. He was in my life one day and then not and I just find it hard to cope with this .... I need to know he is still there even if not for me.

Im so sad, but every day I put on a brave face and go out with my family and friends and try to enjoy myself. But its just getting harder. Im lost where do I go from here?

NJmomabear agony auntThe best thing I can tell you is stay focused on why you left him and over time your heart will start to believe your mind. Find new things or old things you love to do and let it consume you. Go help people less fortunate or take up a hobby, something very rewarding.

Remember for the next time around to remain objective before making the emotional investment. You left because you obviously thought you deserved better, so carry it through and find it.
