A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (10 February 2011):

aunt honesty agony auntWell can you get an erection whenever you are not about to have sex? If you are on your own masterbating does your erection hold? If so then i dont think there is anything medical wrong. If it is just before sex it is happening them and guessing sub counciously you are nervous and it keeps repeating itself. Maybe after the first time it happened you were worried and now this is causing it to happen everytime. Maybe it is just a clear sign that you are not ready to have sex yet. If it is really worrying you then maybe you should visit your doctor and explain to him the problem. Goodluck.
