I've never really tried it before but I had a sharp pain in my lower stomach. Now the day after I now have numbness in my member, its a little 1/50 of the soreness in my stomach from last night and I'm worried that I may have damaged a nerve.. Any advice? Please keep it positive..

I won't tell you, "Tough it out and don't worry about it.", because there are valid reasons to be watchful.
I have a little bit of experience with this - except it was (probably) my wife, starting her orgasm at the same time as mine (not intentionally), that bent me rather painfully and prevented the ejaculation from taking the path nature intended. (I don't know for certain, but that's the best explanation a team of doctors and I were able to construct.)
In brief, there's a somewhat complicated system of plumbing and valves associated with a guy's genitals, because several of the components serve dual purposes. Most of the time, the sexual components are sealed off from the urinary components - but shortly before ejaculation things get rearranged to isolate the bladder and let the semen use the pipes. (You may feel this reconfiguration as the "point of no return" just a few seconds before you ejaculate.)
When you block the normal exit route, your semen gets forced back up toward your bladder - flowing backwards through some one-way valves. When this happens you may feel a strange sensation in your lower abdomen and groin area, or you may feel genuine pain. The after effects may be only some "pulled muscles" feelings inside you, due to the hydraulic pressure forcefully overcoming the muscles that were holding things closed. You'll have some discomfort when urinating for a day or two.
In more serious cases you may have torn some of those muscles, or the sphincter valves they control. This could make you susceptible to (repeated) urinary tract infections.
I'd suggest that you at least speak to a physician - preferably a urologist. Yeah it's embarrassing: if it helps, print out the question you posted here and hand it to the doctor.
Today, with ultrasound imaging, there are probably some easy diagnostic procedures for this kind of thing. When I experienced it (almost 35 years ago) they started looking for explanations after I had a string of urinary infections. Eventually it involved some X-ray studies with tracer dyes. It was only when a radiologist had difficulty threading a catheter to the location he wanted that they realized one of those one-way valves had been turned inside-out. Simply inserting and withdrawing the catheter repaired the problem and I'm not aware of any subsequent problems.

This is called retrograde ejaculation, what happend more than likely was that the semen went in to your stomach during the process, this may have caused the pain in your stomach but dont worry the semen would have passed through your system as it would have mixed with your urine. This is a lot more common than you realise in men so please dont worry, numbness afterwards does happen, but it doesnt leave any permanent damage and should go away soon, just try not to worry. If you feel after 3 - 4 days that something is still not right go and see your doctor to put your mind at ease.
