Drama Queen! I'm sick of it!

Question - (25 May 2009) 10 Answers - (Newest, 23 November 2009)
A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

i am with a girl. we planned a trip to hawaii but she cancelled because she will have her period then.

we were supposed to go to a music festival yesterday but she canceled because i would not apologize to her for not opening a door for her all the way.

i am losing it. her drama along with my own problems make me so unhappy.

i enjoy being with her so much when she is nice to me and when she is happy.

but as it stands lately she is not doing much for me.

additionally, we do not have sex, she complains i am not into her,, and it's sort of true. i don't know why but i am just not attracted by her like i used to be. when i am into her, i feel she is not into me.

now i have not talked to her since yesterday; she lives in my apartment, so i'm sure i will see her. i am so pissed off. sometimes i think about other girls at work or outside, but it's hard for me to meet people, i have my own issues, and my stress from her is plenty enough to keep me busy.

GrimmReality agony auntWOW....six months is a pretty long time!!! lol...I understand though. Sometimes flushing toxic people out of our systems is like trying to get off heroin cold turkey.

Hopefully you established NO contact!!

GrimmReality agony auntI agree with Lucy. There are some people who are incapable of fixing, and this piece of work seems like one.

And buddy, if you don't have her on the lease, kick her ass out of that apartment NOW.

Let this nutjob be someone else's problem

Dude don't even try to fix things with a girl like this. Trust me I'm a girl and I know girls like this and they are a pain in the ass. Trust me having a ”serious talk” with her isn't going to help. Its only going to add fuel to the fire and cause her to overreact. Don't even waste your time and break up with her. There's plenty of other girls out there that can make you happy and would love to go to hawaii no matter what lol. But seriously, if you KNOW your not happy do you really have to ask what you should do?

Danielepew agony auntYou can try to fix the relationship, or you can just give up. I would give up. I don't think she's a reasonable person, and I do think she wants you for a doormat.

You need to have a serious talk with her but don't be rude or nasty about it. Tell her to see if from your point of view- she need to let loose a little and not let things like getting her period ruin a vacation. There's tampons and Midol for a reason lol If you really are into her than try to make it work but both of you have to put in effort.
