ginaice agony auntHi,

the best advice i can give to you is to tell your friend sooner rather than later as she may feel hurt that you didn't confide in her sooner.

maybe take a step back and think about whether he is worth more than you friendship and what your friend would say if you told her..

sorry if this is not the answer that you were looking for.

wish you the best.

thanks for the advice. Xx for me it would be really hard to turn this guy down as it is the only time a guy has actually shown interest in me

You make a decision. How much is this friendship worth to you?

I gather she's been making remarks about fancying him for a longer time and she is probably trying to determine a good moment to make a move on him. You probably have what I call the silent crush. You like him but noone knows aside of yourself.

I would talk to her about it. Tell her that as a friend you have to tell her something. And then say that you have developed a fancy for this guy as well but because you know she likes him too, you haven't shown it to anyone. And then just talk it over. Try to see how much it would hurt if guy turns out to like you more. Be honest, that's what friends do.

Also, real friends are able to sacrifice for eachother. Think about that.
