it's all very nerve racking, as you dont wanna mess up and look like a complete idiot.
but if you do, the best thing to do is just laugh :)
it lightens the whole mood and makes it less formal.
theres the whole, only eat garlic if your partners eating garlic and onion goes for that too.
little gritty bits of food are more than likely going to get in stuck your teeth. she might be too embarassed to say anything, so you might want to avoid the obvious foods like spinach, herbs or ribs.
but most importantly, even if you do feel like a nervous wreck, put on a confident face, laugh off your mistakes and ENJOY it. it's not meant to be torture after all :)

Your just having a drink followed by dinner,you enjoy both so do not put pressure on yourself, go with the flow and relax. Keep the conversation flowing, listen to her as well as talk about yourself, keep it light for first date and do not rush into anything you are not comfortable with.
You will do fine.
