Alot of women like doggy style because it allows the man to achive deeper penetration and also puts more pressure on the G-spot. It can be uncomfortable for the man though if he has a weak back as he will be exerting all the effort and the lower back is the main stress point in this posision.
With the Girl on top the man is much more comfortable on his back and also gets a good view. This posision tends to be favored by dominant women and the sensations are very much dependant on technique and the individuals involved.
My advice to you is to do both and try other posisions. Just make sure that your both having fun and being safe.

I also prefer the doggy style position because i find it has a deeper penetration and i like the feeling his balls has on my clitoris in this position. The position is also very primitive and it has its appeal to those who like that. The doggy style is effective for larger women or pregnant woman - but also great any woman/man!
Im not keen when i am on top of my man because i lack in confidence slightly, but its very empowering and satisfying for both parties. ive tried it once or twice and its nice because it feels like you have total control and can determine the depth of penetration. the man normally enjoys it because he doesnt have to do much work and gets plenty of satisfaction.
