Does xXx on the end of a guys text mean anything?

Does xXx on the end of a guys text mean anything? Hes a mate of mine, we dont speak much, not sure why but when we do i start it. he doesnt normally put any kisses on the end of texts so im wondering if this one meant something? (btw he sent me this whilst i was at home, previously that day i had been upset but still he doesnt normally put any on, infact he doesnt normally text me at all)
