Hmmm, I still stand by what I said. If he acts like a jerk, then I would ignore him the next day. Let him come to you.

If he says he likes you, the boy likes you. At your age range 16-17, you are just embarking on that dating journey so it's ok for guys not to know how to properly act around a girl. He just grew out of the "girls have cooties" phase not too long ago. Also, boys at your age don't do mixed signals..they don't know how to send signals or how to receive them. Wires end up getting crossed and everyone is left confused, so don't even try to look for signals that aren't there.
Now, tell me how is he acting like a jerk to you?

Then after school he approached me, this is the first time ever. Hes been giving me mixed signals. He says he likes me but at times he's kind of a jerk. I dont knoe if he's doing this because hes shy to how his feelings. What do you think?

Is this a guy you like? Who is he? Sounds like he likes you, but your post is a bit too vague to tell. Or that people are teasing him about liking you. Maybe he does have an actual girlfriend. What don't you talk to this guy if you like him? Get those gears turning!

A

It could be they've heard he's got a little crush and are just teasing him about it, not necessarily that he's been calling you that himself, though he could very well be, most things are possible. Could be they just heard a female voice on the other end and he's quite used to that sort of silly go at his embarrassment. Probably he likes you. So, if you like him, too... hurray!
