Does this make me look desperate?

Question - (29 July 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 29 July 2009)
A female Australia age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I was seeing this guy for a couple of months until a couple of weeks ago when he stopped calling. I sent him a text a few days later, he replied, I replied and that was it until just now when he called me and asked me to come to lunch with him and some friends today and said he was really sorry he hasn't been in touch but he's been so busy. I know for a fact that he really has been busy. So I said I could come to lunch and I was trying to come across as breezy, friendly and not holding a grudge, but now I'm wondering if I just seem desperate? Or even like I don't really care?

A female reader, Renee okc United States +, writes (29 July 2009):

Why can't you be straight forward and let him know he is sending you mixed singles and you would like to know where you stand so you can move on to the next man if he can't find the time. You don't sound desperate so far but now if you are constantly calling him and not getting anywhere then yes that could be a problem. I think you would be better off laying your cards on the table no one wants to waste there time if it is not going anywhere. Please if he isn't giving you any play than don't sit around waiting get out and mingle and get your mind off of this guy.
