 It does not make you a bad person although you yourself must have realized it is pretty selfish of you to think this way. You will never go out with him or love him but you also wont let him move on.
You are just really used to him being around liking you for this long and now that he is trying to find a way out, your feeling a little left out.
And dont worry, you will forget about it in a couple of weeks when someone new chases you :-).

 You are not a bad person, just don't act on what you are feeling. If he splits up with his girlfriend maybe you could ask him out then.
It's not unusual to want what you can't have.
