We've always had sex with condoms just because we were trying to be extra careful, but the last month we decided to have sex without condoms because it was satisfying to me. Anyway, I don't know if my body is being weird or what, but i feel bloated in my lower abdomen area and i'm worried that somehow i got pregnant. i want to take a home pregnancy test to see if i am pregnant, but I don't know if it will be accurate because i'm on contraceptive pills. Does anyone know if the pill makes a difference? I also got my "period" this week and i thought that if pregnant, you don't get it even if your on the pill.

The way the pill works is in thickening your cervix lining so that its harder for the sperm to swim through and stopping your body from releasing the egg and you're right that you stop having periods if you're pregnant on the pill. If it was a normal period you have nothing to worry about but if it was lighter it might be an idea to take a test just in case. Your symptoms sound to be like someone who's so worried about being pregnant they start to imagine the symptoms. It's fine not to use condoms if you're sure you're both disease free down there and the pill is 99% effective so you're almost certainly ok.
