I was wondering does anyone know if the morning after pill makes you sick for a few days? because i took levonelle on tuesday (after unprotected sex on saturday), and have been feeling really sick for a few days. Ive taken it before but it didnt make me this bad. i was told i shouldnt have any side effects, so was wondering could i have had some sort of reaction to it, or is this normal?

I took it once years ago and was fine, i wasnt sick at all but my older sister had advised me about it and told me to prepare to be as sick as a dog cos thats the experience she had when she took it. so i think it just depends on the person. but if you're being really sick or were really sick in the hours after you took it you should see your doctor because it may not have had enough time to go through your system before you vomited it all out again!

Just try and relax yourself, don't worry about anything. It's all sorted now honey. Maybe the sickness is encouraged by nerves or a nagging worry? Have you been stressed before you took it, worrying about pregnancy? If so, this could be the case it's making you feel worse. So calm down and trust that everything is sorted. The sickness will pass :] although don't have unprotected sex in the future! Condoms are cheap and the pill is there at the doctors for whenever you need it. So don't be daft, there's no excuse for unprotected sex. Good luck, hope you feel better soon :]

From what I've heard, it can be very hard on the system. Some girls are sick as dogs when they take it, sorry, but that's what I have heard.
It's not a good idea to depend on the morning after pill as contraception - it has absolutely NO protection against anything transmissible except pregnancy! You need to be on a permanent form of birth control after having two scares, along with using a condom to prevent STI's and HIV! If you have had more than one partner and are not practicing safe sex, make sure that you get tested! It's important to protect both you And your partner's future fertility. Good luck with everything, Hun and I'm sure that you will be feeling fine in a day or two.
