Well, when you're young, you experience lust and infatuation more than actual love. But I'm sure it has much more to do with the fact that you haven't met the right guy.
I have experienced intense love a number of times and it felt roughly the same over about a 15 year period.

Personally, my first love at 17 was electric, intense and simply amazing. But I think that is because you are so young and it's all a learning curve and new. At 26 now I love the girl I'm with for many different reasons that at 17 I didn't even look at in the girl I was with.
In answer to your question - yes I think love is different as you get older, but only because we understand more and appreciate different things about people. And I don't think you can ever measure or compare love for different people. No two people will do the exact same things to your heart.
Just enjoy it whilst you can :)
