personally i use one x at the end of all messages its just a habbit and usually are for other people too

I'm not sure really. I usually put one x at the end of most messages to people, but it's just meant as a friendly thing, nothing more. I suppose for me though, the more x's there are, the more affectionate I'm trying to be. But I think it depends on the person you are texting. I might put xxx at the end of an e-mail to a girl, but I don't mean anything by it, other than I am being friendly. I don't tend to do that with guys, unless it's a boyfriend.
I think it also depends on the individual person. Some people are more inclined to put x's, some aren't. In answer to your question though, I would think that if a guy sent you a text and put lots of x's at the end, he probably likes you.
I do think it may be a personal preference thing, but I have to admit that for me, x's indicate friendliness and affection. And although it probably sounds a bit silly, it has always bothered me when I've been in a relationship and the guy never puts any x's! I'm laughing as I type this at how silly it sounds, but hey, there you go!
Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts. I would also love to know what other people think about this topic though! x X x :-)
