If you are on the combined pill, so long as you take it around the same time each day, that will be fine. You can take it as much as 12 hours late and it won't affect the contraception. As far as I understand, it is most effective when taken at the same time each day. What I've done is to put an alarm on my mobile phone each day at the time when I take the pill and when I go abroad, I don't change the time on the phone, so I continue to take it at exactly the same time.

So are you moving to his country, or are you visiting? It's supposed to be taken at the same time every day. If you're moving, you could just start the next month at the new time and no worries. If you're visiting, it might be a good idea to figure out what the time difference is and keep it there in the short run.
If you're going to continue living separately, you may be safer if you continue to use condoms. The pill doesn't protect against STDs. He's probably not seeing someone else while you're not there, but it could happen. Until you're in the same time zone, it might be safer to continue to use both methods.
