Does she like me? So many signs that maybe she does

A male Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi there! I've been trying to work up the courage to ask this girl I work with for a while now. Just recently I asked her friend that she works with if she knew if she liked me or not. And just for the sake of anonymity, I'll call the girl E and her friend Y.

So I've been working with these two for a while now, they are in the salad bar which is beside my department.

They have always been flirty with me, we joke around a lot and are usually laughing and having fun. One time Y even asked me if I was single or not, which I guessed was for E because Y wasn't single at the time.

We only work together on the weekends so I figured I'd ask Y whether E liked me.

She told me she didn't know and that she would try and find out for me. The next time I saw her a few weeks later she was asking me about E and if I had asked her out, even gave me a reccomendation where to take her. But she said she hadn't talked to her about it, which I find really strange. I know if someone asked me if one of my friends liked them I'd tell my friend for sure, but maybe that's just me?

So at this point Y is single now and has been for a few weeks. I hadn't had any shifts with E for a while and me and Y start to hit it off. We go on break and lunch together, find we have a bunch of things in common, laugh at each others jokes, ect... Today we talked for a half hour before our shift and she asked me why I like E , which seemed strange to me but I could be wrong.

I can't tell if Y is just being friendly or if she does actually like me... After we hit it off I'm starting to really like her, and E doesn't really seem to like me, or at least she doesn't come off as wanting to be more than just friends.

Today I was working a late shift and I was going to be by myself for a few hours. But when Y left she left me a salad container filled with pretzels with "Have fun! Late shift snack =)" written on it, which pretty much made my night. At this point I really have no idea.

I just spent the last 5 hours thinking about it at work by myself, and I have noooo clue, haha. What do you guys think?

Are these signs that her friend likes me, or is she just being really friendly? Thanks for reading, any help is appreciated!

She seems like she likes you to me, particularly with the note, how cute! I think you should just ask her, it saves you wondering about it, and you can just laugh it off if it ends badly. I think that's the only way forward, good luck!

Well, the only way to find out is to ask! Its hard because if youre rejected, you still have to work together. But thats okay, its worth the risk. You should just ask if she wants to go out for coffee or if theres a concert around town or something. At the end you'll probably both be wondering if it was a date or not, so just go ahead and ask. She is probably wondering whether youre just being friendly or flirting as well.
