Except look to the side to see whether I am looking at her.Sending me a friend request on facebook however I also thanked her in person.Bear in mind she has had a conversation with me when a friend has been present.Looking pretty pissed when a girl sat next to me.Laughing a lot and trying to make eye contact when I did something stupid.I want to take this slow as I have previously been rejected and used.

Firstly I suggest that you are sure that you are not just hoping that things are as they are because you have a crush. Ensure that she is interested by subtly inviting her out for a drink or something that could be as friends but if you both want a little more could lead to something.
Don't let your past of being used and rejected destroy your confidence with women - They are not all like that, it seems you have just been unlucky.
