I am 27 and I have noticed that for over a year now, my nipples have become less sensitive( I have natural breasts, I don't take any medications or pills and there is medically nothing wrong with me). Prior to this I could get turned on regardless of the day of the month, but now it's a different ball game. The arousal now seems to be dictated by the menstrual cycle, usually before the period. How many of you, or women that you know, have experience the same thing? Does nipple sensitivity change as you get older as well? I'm curious to hear from the ladies, as it's something I can't spring on a lot of women.

mine are redone... before the reconstruction i had little to no sensitivity... after the reconstruction I am overly sensitive... the doctor informed me that it's not a physiological change but more of a psychological one...
the fact that I actually LIKE my breasts now makes me more receptive to the feelings that were always there...

I have nursed 3 children and I'm in my 40. They are a little slower in responding but I would say they are just as sensitive as before.
I'm wondering if you may have other erogenous zones that affects you more then your nipples.
And yes the ebb and flow of the hormones in your cycle does affect your arousal. In a study it was discovered that during ovulation ... the overall frequency of sex increased by 24 percent.... Most women have about six fertile days a month -- the five days preceding ovulation and the day of ovulation. ... A woman's libido may be heightened when she is ovulating so she has an increased interest in sex, or she may produce more pheromones, chemicals that send messages to other individuals, that increase her sexual attractiveness.
