I have came out to 3 of my best friends, which are fully supportive (luckily) however this friend just keep giving me subtle hints that just hurts more than anything. One time he would wrap his arms around my waist and try to kiss me (bribed by my Maltesers?) and just today, he was staring at me in class. I was too ashamed of myself to look at him for more than 1 second but the ache was simply horrifying. I have had the biggest crush on him since I came to my school, and 4 years passed I still do! He is 1 year my senior and had two previous relationship with girls, but I just cannot get over him. Just for all of you to know, I have read many advice given to other people with similar situation :gay crush on straight guys but is there anything else I could possibly do beside forgetting him? Some nights I would cry myself to sleep, and others just dreaming about him. (He held my hands once, but only briefly. I loved it, and was absolutely confused. (Sorry to include this here but I have just came out last week, with my friends supporting me I decided to release my suppressed emotions.)Thanks guysLies.

I have a gay friend too, and you know what, its been really hard for him to get a real relationship..
His good looking and a lot of straight or bi and gays likes him, so easy for him to get a relationship,, but whats hard is keeping the relationship..
Going back to ur situation, your friend might be just being playful, he knows you like him... But doesn't mean his serious and would go to the next level. 4 years had pass but he and you are not moving..
The only way to find out and end all the questions you have on your mind, is to ask him...Hey, do u like me more than friends?
If you have the gut to ask him do it once and for all otherwise, you will keep wondering what might have been all your life. Trust me, he will keep you waiting..
Unless you try to ask nothing will change. Now, after you ask him and you get the answer, whether positive or negative reply just accept it and move on...
Good luck!!
