writes: i have been seeing my doctor for 2 months.i've been in and out of the hospital 4 times.he spends some time in my room,talks about personal life, touches my shoulders when we are alone.he makes a lot of eye contact . last time he saw me he got so close that i had to pull back.his eyes test me all over when i meet him. he said bad luck you don't feel any symptoms. he always tries to push his body so close to mine. I do like him, but he is married and im afraid it's the way he treats all his patients.he sometimes say how we missed you.does he have a crush on me? he's so handsome.

If he does try to act on anything, report him to the state Medical Quality Commission for licensing in your state.
Do not ignore it if something overt happens. Doctors who do overtly get involved with their patients are serious problem doctors. They usually have mental health issues, drug problems, or personality disorders.
I'm a physician, and those who do eventually get reported usually have a long history of inappropriate manipulative exploitative behavior and cause a lot of damage before they are restricted in their practices...including the husband of a friend of mine.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 November 2010): No he doesn't. It's called beside manner. The fact that he's handsome and he knows it means he can close to female patients and get a bit flirty because it makes them feel good. That's job he's a doctor.
Don't read anything into it. I once thought the same thing about a nurse that gave me a sponge bath once. I was 12. But now I;m an adult and know better.
