And I was like yea...abusiveee....and he says friendship. Does that mean he considers me only as a friend? He is very confusing because when we work together, he always stares at me and tries to talk to me. But he hasn't asked me for my number or anything yet. My coworker says he likes me but I don't believe it.

Many guys hit on girls at workplaces I guess just to boost their ego. Do not read much into this, as like Honeypie has said above...Awkward!!!
Trust me, you don't wanna end up in that awkward state. Enjoy the banter while it lasts, and please don't read much into it. Good luck.

He might have pointed out the "friendship" part because he has a GF and don't want you to read more into the banter and games you two play at work?
He might like you, but I don't think he likes you the way you WANT him to like you. (as in a romantic way).
One thing though, ALWAYS have in mind that looking for love in the workplace is not always a very smart thing. Because if things DO NOT work out.. AWKWARD!!
