Hi just quick question.

Is it true that it really hurts to use hair removal stuff in your private areas? I don't really want to try shaving and now i've heard that it really hurts to use the cream, so i'm running out of options.

Thank you.

Stayc63088 agony auntLike nair? Ive used nair remover like on the bikini line but i would not recommend using it too close to your area or opening. It says on the bottle not to do so, so yes it would most likely hurt. Shaving isnt so bad, besides that you need to do it often. Waxing is probably best. It will hurt the first few times but eventually you will be used to it and it lasts much longer than shaving or any hair removal creams. Hope it helped :)

A reader, anonymous, writes (6 April 2008):

I think it depends on your skin type and also the type of hair remover you use. You should probably try it on a different part of your body first. I tried using hair remover on my legs to see if it would be okay to use on my private area, and I'm so glad I tested it out first! My legs burned and smelled funny for at least a day and then after that all of the pores on my legs were swollen and red, so I obviously did not apply the hair removal to any more sensitive places.

I personally found that shaving and waxing were also painful, and resigned to trimming down there instead. Keep in mind that you don't need to be hairless down there to be sexy or beautiful, and do what feels good to you rather than what you think you are "supposed" to do.

Good luck!
