Hello. This is response is coming from someone who has worried about the same thing for a long time. The first time I had sex, it didn't hurt. This shocked me so much because I was told that it would hurt my first time. I actually really enjoyed it. It's all about who you do it with, the timing, and what your body can handle. I laughed at myself afterwards because I realized that I'd made a big deal about nothing. All in all, that will depend on your body and how it reacts to the penis being inside of you. Advice: Let your partner finger you several times before you actually do it. That way you can get used to something being in you that isn't as small as a tampon.

I'd just like to add one more thing that some people don't say very often... In the movies it all looks wonderful - so romantic, so fulfilling, and for some people it is! However, for me, even though it was with someone who was very gentle and that I loved very much, it was more of a "errrr, so that's it??" moment! But I promise you that even if it's not waves crashing on a shore/cupids fluttering aroud the bed/earthshatteringly magnificent, it really does get better as you learn about what you like, what they like, and with the right partner it becomes wonderful.
Back on topic, yes, it did hurt me, but not badly. I was scared by the blood (again, this does not apply that every woman bleeds), but my boyfriend was loving, gentle and understanding. Take it slowly, take it gently and enjoy the discoveries that this will lead to.

Well it hurt me a bit. A sort of sharp pain but try to make him go gentle and ask to stop or slow down if things are becoming painful. Also, remember that you may bleed after the first few times and be sore for a while but this is perfectly normal. Have fun and remember you will never forget him! Good Luck, H xx

It will help if you the right setting and complete privacy, with no fear of interruptions.
Allow yourselves plenty of time so that your lovemaking can proceed unhurried. With the first time this is very important, as there is a lot of nervousness; make sure your partner is not in a hurry either.
Make sure you a reliable form of contraception. Bear in mind that AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases can be cought or spread the first time intercourse takes place. I suggest the man should wear a condom.
Your partner must know you are a virgin and be very gentle.
He should make sure you are aroused, by caressing, stimulating you before penetration.
Have a lubricant available if needed.
Choose a man on top position; penetration should be gentle and he should not thrust to deep at first.
Try to RELAX!
Enjoy!

It hurt for me, however it does not hurt for everyone. For some people it's odd, for others it's different, but for most it's painful. It will only hurt for a few minutes, however, but you may feel some discomfort or soreness afterwards for a while. It shouldn't last long. Good luck!
Wishing you the best
xx

To be honest it hurt ALOT. When me and my boyfriend decided we were ready, it still took 4 or 5 seperate occasions before it actually happened, because each time it would hurt so bad that I had to stop. After the first time, it still took at least a dozen times before it stoped hurting all together.
But my friend told me her first time hurt just a litte, and after that she had no problem.
It varies from person to person, but it depends on how thick and "tight" your hymen is. I can't explain it too well, so here's a slightly better explanation if you're interested http://www.coolnurse.com/hymen.htm
Hope that helps!
