I think he does like you. Next time he asks you, you should reply with something innocent but suggesting. Something like, are you asking me on a date, lol?

I'm not trying to burst your bubbles, but I do very similar things as your guy friend does towards you with my female friends. It's a wonderful thing to express friendship that way, but hey, if it's something more, you'll just have to go and initiate some of the soul-searching, won't you now?
