Well I am not a nurse, but I do have sex in shower....well frequently. I have had two UTI's in my life and my understanding is that you have, not drank enough water and allowed your urine to concentrate, are simply prone to them or you have another infection that has moved into your bladder or kidneys. Now I also know that tampons can create a whole world of trouble if you use the scented kind and are remotely allergic...or if you don't change them AT LEAST every six hours. Sex in the shower should be no problem at all, provided your partner does not have an infection or go from anal to vaginal contact. Also, not to be gross but the type of toilet tissue you use can seriously cause trouble...especially the extra soft kind that leaves a paper lint trail or what we call the truck stop variety which is cheap thin and melts in your hand....and the colored and the scented kinds. And what ever you do...DO not Douche...it completely upsets your vaginal system and kills all the good bacteria leaving you not only prone to yeast infections but also Urinary tract infections. I don't know if any of these factors are something that could affect you but I have had several friends who have all found these to be to blame for most of their recurring troubles. Now if none of these seem plausible to you...you may simply have a system that does not effectively fight them and thus you are "Prone" to them. Try to find supplements or some way to boost your immune system and see if they don't clear up for the most part. They are nothing to be embarrassed about and your doctor should be able to advise you on your best course of defense.

I would try drinking plenty of water, cranberry juice or bailey water as these are all good for helping to flush out a water infection, if this problem continues I would see your doctor.
Hope this helped :o)

Now here is a question im sure how to answer as i am a nurse. lol. Having sex in the shower would not cause u to get a infection. We have many germs on the outside of our body, when u have sex sometimes a germ can be pushed into ur urinary tract which causes these infections. There is no way to stop it completely, but making sure u are clean b4 sex and peeing right b4 sex and after is meant to help alot. I know how it feels i have had this many times b4 and its a pain, literally. Good luck.

Bladder Infection? Is it the same as Urinary Infection? I know when I start having sex, I got it and it made me so uncomfortable for a week. Had to go to the doctor and took antibiotics. My doctor said it's good to pee after sex just to flush any bateria out. I've been doing this and it has helped alot. Also cranberry juice is really good too.
I don't think it has anything to do with shower, maybe. My advice is drink lots of water and when you're in doubt, go pee just to make sure.
