i am 33..with braces and i kiss fine.
Can't feel it because I'm more focus on the kiss and the person i'm kissing. just relax and enjoy

Just be careful not to really let your teeth touch him. You dont want it to seem like youre eating him anyway. Hes also not going to have his tounge all over your teeth, so really dont worry at all :) Tons of people kiss with braces all of the time. You will be alright! But have fun on your date by the way.
