I say hope for a home birth but plan for every situation because children don't always stick to the plan :)congradulations

Not sure about babies at home when it's your first and your so young. They can give extra pain relief at home and they have all the equipment if anything goes wrong.
I'm not a doctor, but I don't think they recommend home births in the UK for young first time mothers.
Speak to your doctor again please.

My friends and my cousin are gonna be there. I'm gonna be giving birth at home instead of doing at the hospital . I think it'll be easier to do it at home.

Having given birth once myself, and a real true wimp when it comes to pay, I chose to tick every single box of the offering of pain relief. I had an epidural and it was the best decision I made so I would seriously reccomend one. As for the pain in general, the labour is what everyone finds hurts the most.... its just like period pains but obviously the pain is stronger and they may last a while.
You will be fine hun... practise on your breathing and no doubt you will get stroppy during labour and take it out on those closest to you... its normal. lol.
Remember, if giving birth was so bad, women wouldn't keep having more!
Good luck x

Do the pre-natal care program in the hospital in which you expect to deliver. Discuss with them what options are available for pain control. If you're wanting to do "natural" child birth, that means no meds. If you're wanting something different, then talk to them.
My wife had three children. The hospital she was at for the first two discouraged epidurals and promoted things such as nitrous, which she felt didn't help at all. For the third she had an epidural and it was a much more pleasant experience.
Talk to your ob/gyn.

yes i have heard it really hurts aswell, but it is not just a thought, it really does hurt.
have you considered thinking about using some sort of pain relief when the baby comes? im afriad you cannit escape the fact that it will hurt, it is just part of giving birth, but think about the life you are giving birth to!!
maybe ask your bf to take time off work around the time the baby is due, that way you should feel comfortable that he will be there with you through the process.
good luck, remember to push and dont be afraid to squeeze ur bfs hands. he wont mind :)
all the best with your up and coming new family.

Hello! My baby girl turned 8 mnths yesterday (the 12th) in all actuality it is scary but no didnt hurt. When I found out I was pregnant i was 115 pds when i had her i was 142 so very small 20 yr old. I made it all the way to 7-8 cm dialation before i asked for the epidural they kept telling me to just go ahead and deliver with out it! anyway I got it and the machine quit! so I felt everything just fells like your having a bowel movement and a lot of pressure. she was only 5 pd 7ozs tho so.... But each pregnancy and delivery is different! Breast Feed! i did and loved it!
