I have had feelings for one of my best friends for a while now and i was planning on asking her out when she came back to uni to do a placement over the summer. it now turns out that she didn't get it and will now be staying in her home town(300 miles away) over summer. Both of us get on really well and enjoy each others company. I'm just unsure if i should ask her out now or not. Personally i would like to ask her out person to person but all i can do i ask her over the phone or msn now. We both go to each other if we have any troubles and often chill out at her flat for a few hours. I have also taken her out for lunch a few times when we first met and we really enjoyed it. It's just the possibility of her meeting another guy in the 3 months that she will be away. So i feel inclined to ask her out but i fear a relationship where we wont see each other wont work. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,
don't fear distance. If the feelings are right, it will work. It is just a matter of how much you and her want this to be a reality.
Good luck :)

Sounds like if you really loved her you would make the 300 mile trip (even if it were only once) to ask her out! Then that would show her how much your willing to go for her!
however, honestly, has she given you any signs that there could be more than just friendship? becasue you also don't want to ruin what you have!
