A female reader, troysyaussie Australia +, writes (13 August 2008):

troysyaussie agony aunti gave my man a homemade coupon book. it was a love book and i made it real pretty. each card inside said like one head job anywhere anytime, shower together, just really sexy ones and on the back of each one i wrote in a little remmberance of a special moment we had together. he loves it and he hasnt even used it as he doesnt want to wreck it he said. it must mean a lot to him. anyway i have tons of ideas. always keep it sentimental and try to remember special moments from your past together and incorporate them into your night. like does he have a favorite song? try playing it in the background to bring back old memories and feelings. make him a home cooked candlelight dinner. watch one of his favorite romantic movies. there are tons of great ones to choose from. plus, its a perfect cuddling opportunity :) take him back to the place where you had your first date. recreate it. try to make everything the same as that night. the same music, the same food, the same flowers...even the same car if you can. The more you pay attention to details, the more he will know how much thought you put into it. take him on a nighttime picnic to a spot overlooking a gorgeous view. like a cityscape at night, or on top of a bridge or rooftop. use your surroundings to create a beautiful backdrop. you can bring all kinds of yummy goodies like chocolate covered strawberries, hot chocolate, wine, salad and homemade sandwiches. take him for a surprise romantic weekend getaway. but do it secretly. to get him to pack in advance, tell him you're taking him for the weekend to a hotel in a nearby city.. somewhere thats not too exciting, but still believable. instead, drive him to the airport and fly to somewhere tropical he will love. There are so many romatnic travel destinations to choose from, it will be the perfect little vacation for just the two of you. if you have the cash for that of course. you can even go all out and secretly ask his boss for a couple days off, so you can stay longer than a weekend. Collect as many old pictures as you can find and make a romantic photo album full of memories that the two of you have shared. this is a very thoughtfull gift to give, because it will take him back to all the precious moments you've spent together.

take him to an old neighborhood where he grew up. let him see his old house and school, and any other places he's told you about from his past living there. this should bring back a flood of memories for him, and can be very sentimental. show up at his work with an oversized box of chocolate and flowers. do it right in front of everyone so they will all see. but be sure that he is the type of person that would enjoy this kind of attention, rather than be embarassed by it. surprise him with a massage. after a long day of work, winding down with a warm and sensual massage from the one you love can be incredibly romantic. Set the mood for an intimate evening with a romantic bedroom makeover. it will intensify the mood, and is probably something he will never expect. go for a romantic photo shoot together. or go for one yourself and give him the photos as a gift. that should give you something to go on for a while. hope i helped a bit :)
