I really feel like I am at the end of my tether. I’ve become a real life Jekyll and Hyde, one minute I’ll be fine and the next I could rip someone’s head off. I’ve even burst out crying on the bus for no apparent reason. I cry at everything. I am constantly tired (I had a blood test and everything came back normal) I’m not sure if they could have missed something? I feel absolutely awful and it has started to put strain on my relationship. I have been considering stopping the pill and just using condoms, but I’m really worried at how effective this would be? I know I should go to the doctors, but I really think I’ve started to annoy my nurse. I think I’ve been on every pill available and nothing seems to suit me and the only one that did suit me I was told I was no longer allowed to take it due to my family’s medical history of DVT. I’m really afraid this isn’t being caused by the pill and it could be something worse. Does anyone have any experience with Micronor? Could it be my pill that is causing this?

"I really think I’ve started to annoy my nurse." So what? Who cares? She's there to help you, right? Become your own best advocate.
"This contraception isn't working for me, I am very worried about the side effects. The side effects seem to be x y and z.... severe depression and PMT. The strain on my relationship is huge and if we don't get this sorted I will have no relationship."
"I need alternatives that work and won't have these side effects. Let's work together and get this sorted!"

I would talk to your doctor. You might have to switch to another pill/contraceptive.
Have you read the leaflet that comes with the pills for side effects?

It could be the pill yes, but you really need to discuss this with your doctor, your bloods will be clear because it is emotional medical help you need. So make an appointment with your doctor, tell them how you have been feeling and ask them to discuss other contraceptive methods. There are loads out there for you to chose from, its not only the pill you can take, there are patches, injections and the coil you can get as well. Talk to your doctor about this.
