writes: I have picked at my skin for as long as I can remember. I have done some research and it turns out that there is a name for what I have: . I've looked up ways to try to stop it and they are all very wise and helpful but the problem with me is that most of the time I don't even know I'm picking! I have some similar obsessive habits. I've noticed they are worse when i'm bored, don't have anything challenging to do... finding something to do which occupies your hands is the key I think. Or try to stay busy.
