A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

This might sound kinda crazy but I need to hear if anyone else has had an experience like this.

I've been seeing this boy for a little while now and he is super cute. A few days ago he took me on a date to the carnival and we got a little drunk and then went on the hurricane like 5 times. Afterward we went back to my sisters van and made out for a little while and then started having sex. It was pretty wild, and then we started having..... You now.......*blush...... Anal sex, it was pretty wild and I was pretty nervous but I think everything went ok.

But then the next day I woke up and my tushy was so sore, it was really embarrassing because the next day when my sister and I went for breakfast I totally couldn't sit properly and she kept asking me what was wrong..... *blush*

Did anyone else think it hurts?

Should I feel guilty that I had sex?

A reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2014):

You need to be relaxed, properly stretched and lubricated before doing anal. Using grape seed oil or coconut oil is a healthy way to lubricate and it stays moist. Initial penetration should follow after some stretching. Any thrusting should be gentle initially and progress as the woman says. ... These are things that my wife does and she says that orgasms through anal are do strong and at another level that all others, although good, do not come close in strength and joy.

Feeling guilt or not is all about who you want to be and whether you did something against your standard or not. If its your first time with the guy and he goes for anal please be sure you use protection as he is not new to that game. I hope you get a good reaction from him and it works out for you but some may think that going straight to anal is a little quick so it could get interpreted a certain way or not. Key is to do what you want to do according to the standards you set for yourself and be safe. The opinion of a bunch of strangers doesn't really make it good or bad. It's up to you but know that there are a lot of opinions about it from some guys from a special perspective. Have fun an be safe.

TasteofIndia agony auntDon't feel guilty unless he's with someone else or you're using him for something or other. Sounds like you like each other - there's no shame in that. I think going to the carnival together, getting tipsy and having crazy sex in the back of your sister's van sounds like something straight from a 70s movie!

Like everyone said, lube is the key - and of course it's going to be sore afterwards, even with the lube. Especially if this was your first time! Don't worry darling, no shame. You had fun together and went on a super great ride (pun intended).

Sounds like you had a lot of fun, and yeah sitting awkwardly is embarrassing but only from a privacy point of view.

A word of advice, OP. Even with lube don't have anal while drunk. It can create permanent damage if the guy is too rough. Anal is something that needs preparation and a bit of care, it's not good to have your ass pounded while drunk as your increased tolerance for pain can mask some severe damage.

So_Very_Confused agony auntLube for the body not just the mind is critical here.

why would you think having sex should make you feel guilty?

if you like him

if he likes you

if neither of you is seeing anyone else

if both of you are open and honest about it

then be an adult and enjoy

pick up some good lube... you can go to walmart or even a grocery store for some... if you want lube specific for anal sex you can go to what we call "an adult toy store" and get some AnalEZE.... it has a bit of benzocaine in it.

BUT part of the issue is his technique... if you want to try again then let me know and I can map it out... it's not hard but it takes time and patience on the guy's part.

That would probably happen to most people if they didn't lubricate properly, either with plenty of fluids from your vagina (if available) or lube.

A reader, anonymous, writes (9 January 2014):

Anal sex if not done properly can be really dangerous.

I would encourage you to use a condom, use lubrication and for crying out loud do not do anal first and then vaginal.

Did you really enjoy it?

You said you were pretty nervous but you think it went ok. Those are not the words of someone who is 100% sure they loved it.

It's your body and your call regarding what risks you want to take. But treat your body responsibly - condoms, condoms, lube.

person12345 agony auntNo why would you feel guilty? If you want to try it again make sure you have lube handy, that will prevent it from causing any small tears that are likely what's causing you pain. Nothing to be ashamed of at all! Sounds like you had fun.
