Yes teacher knows.
and her screaming and hiding is making it worse and making her laughable to said teacher.

A

If this guy wants to keep his reputation and his job he will stay well clear. You say your friend "starts screaming and hiding behind people" that's not flattering to an adult. Yes he will know its a childish crush and be amused by it. Knowing that he too had childish crushes he mistook for love when he was a kid.

franny1297 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionbtw, it really is my friend, she likes a young single teacher in the school and she always starts screaming and hiding behind people and wanted to know, if teachers know.

A
reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2013): Yup, they're aware.
The one high school teacher I dated (as an adult) talked about these students as if they were embarrassing themselves but too naive to realize it.
Having a 14 year old stare at your crotch or attempt awkward flirtations was not something he took as a compliment, but a potential career liability.
If a teacher isn't acknowledging your "friend's" crush, it's probably because he's not interested, he doesn't want to encourage her, and he wants to keep his job.

A
reader, anonymous, writes (31 March 2013): Yes they usually do and it amuses them because they know its just a childish crush. Some teachers play a game of flirting a little bit back just for amusement but it doesn't mean anything. Some teachers get involved with the kid with a crush but they are pedophiles. Hope that's answered your, I mean your friends, question.

a teacher is a human being! he/she will realize that someone is paying him extra attention, giving more care and time... will he know? yes! unless the person having a crush treats all the other teachers extra good so the teacher he/she have a crush on would think that that's his personality.and just a tip: i had crushes on many of my teachers before, its healthy and keeps you motivated and ultimately better scores at school, but always stay away from physical contact with this teacher, you don't want the hormones to work up and your reputation to go down! even if the teacher gives signs of exchanged love or something wait till you are in summer to cross the limits of teacher-studentbest luck to you and your friend
