I've always believed 'if in doubt get it checked out' you won't be the first to go to the doctor with a worry like this and better to know if it's something to worry about or have peace of mind if it isn't.
Good luck :o)

Not necessarily, but obviously can do. Try not to get paranoid that every spot could be cancer although it is good that you are aware. Keep a check on new spots/blemishes, notice changes in size, colour, appearance etc.
Cancer can come to anyone at any time and doesn't always have a "reason", it's not discriminatory. Little is known about the causes of Testicular Cancer which is why research is paramount. To find out more, visit this site: http://www.cancerbackup.org.uk/Cancertype/Testes

You're a teenager, believe me if you are going to panic about cancer everytime you get a small spot on your face you could be in for a few very stressful years! Testicular cancer, though more common than some other cancers, is still very rare in someone of your age. As to how you get it, there is nothing conclusive on the causes of cancer, just a different variety of things which can increase the chance of getting cancer, smoking being the prime example.
Try not too worry too much ,cancer at the moment has a lot of scaremongering surrounding it. If every story was to be believed virtually everything we do has some way of causing it. So i'd say try not to be concerned about it, perform the checks they will have mentioned when telling you about testicular cancer in sex ed, and if you do have any worries go see your GP, he/she would rather have 100 false alrams than 1 person not going to see them and leaving it too late.
