yes it hurts....but unlike some of the posters here, theres nothing wrong with doing it....i have been waxing since i was 12....i am now 23..i feel that i am much cleaner down below, as there is no hair to trap odor and sweat....some people may argue that the hair is there for a reason, well it was......millions of years ago while we werre still evolving...the pain is there...it does hurt, but it hurts less and less every time....if you are shaving already, theres a good chance that you will end up switching in the end anyways, so i hope this helps....just make sure that if you do it, you go to a reputable, clean, salon....and you will need parental supervision if you are under 16

Here is a very important thing you have to learn in life - you live it the way YOU want, not the way others want you to live it.
You must've only recently got your pubic hair. The fashion for shaving it off is fueled by the needs of pornography, where the cameras need to see what is going on - I assume (hope) your boyfriend is your age too - he probably hasn't seen a lot of women's private parts, except in pornography, and so expects you to look like the women do in his pornography. I hope he doesn't want you to be treated like these women too!
Some men make the mistake of thinking that they will get a mouthful of hair if they give a girl oral sex and she hasn't shaved it off. This is just rubbish - the hair is only on the outside and is nowhere near anywhere that his mouth would be.
Say NO. Tell him you are a real woman and he should be lucky to have you as you are.

First off, you are really young and I think you should REALLY, REALLY wait for a while until you're going towards third base with your boyfriend. However, you did ask a question and I'll answer it for you.
Do you have any pairs of tweezers? Take a pair and pluck one of the hairs out. It hurts, right? Now imagine someone putting hot wax on a WHOLE BUNCH of those hairs and tearing them all off at once. Girl, it hurts a LOT. Oh, I cried and cried...
The best thing to do (especially when you're so young... I'm not even sure if a salon WILL wax you so young... and don't do it yourself!!!!!!!! That's a bad plan.) is to just trim it up down there.
However, I really do think you should wait for a little while. That's your special spot and only deserves to be shared with someone really special. What until you've been with this guy for maybe a year. Make him prove it. Or, better yet, wait until you're sixteen.

A brazillian must be what they invented in hell (maybe rename it to a hellian wax?) but really, it'll definitely hurt. Like the last poster said, you're too young for this kinda stuff
