sounds like he likes what he sees! Are you the shy type and do you like him too? If you do like him or want to get to know him next time he looks at you give him a big friendly smile. If he smiles back then I believe you should go and say hello and just talk about general stuff.But try and do this when he is alone then he wont be embarrassed or shy in front of his friends.Good luck hun.

 I think this guy really likes you but is to shy to come up and ask you out. He stares at you all day, he has asked your friend about you, so the likellhood is he is crazy about you.
If you like him as well why don't you help him out abit and suggest you do something together one weekend.
