writes:There’s this girl I always see at the store, she always smiles at me and asks me if I found everything ok.....and she just keeps smiling at me and staring....Well a few days ago I seen her and I got into another lane and she was there, but at a different register and she seen me and was grinning and she made a special effort to say hi to me and then she went to the register I had some bags and she kept looking at me and she said bye still smiling......why is she acting this way? I’m a female also. I did see her today, when she seen me she put her head down and gave the customer her change....but when I went to her register she had this big smile on her face and motioned for me to get into her lane....She then put her closed sign up after I got into her lane.....she asked me the usual and then kept smiling at me showing all her teeth.........Then as the girl was going to walk with me, some other girl who was working at a register was like (to the girl I like) is that your natural hair color? To turn her attention from me ......this other girl she looks like a big man but she’s a girl..... The girl I like did turn and tell me bye and started smiling at me...and turned to start talking to the other girl....what should I do? My brother thinks she has a crush on me...and is waiting on me to ask her out, but I don’t know...i do like her a lot, but i/m not trying to get hurt either. Do you all think she likes me and wants more from me?

reader, anonymous, writes (24 February 2013): im going to give her my number the next time i go to the store (dont know when) but when i do.....ill give her my number as im paying her and see if she catches on..........ill let her call or text me....instead of me asking for her number so bluntly and in front of everyone...,im going to take a chance.....thanks

 I completely thinks she likes you. It's really cute how she's trying so hard to tell you too. She wouldn't be acting that way if she didn't. I think she's reallly interested and she probably is waiting for you to ask you out and I understand you're afraid of being hurt, but you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet right?? In otherwords you have to be hurt a few times before you find the right person. It's life. Ask her out!!

 there's really no way to tell of course, unless we could sit there and observe the two of you interacting together. but it sounds like a definitely possibility.
why not casually ask if she's on facebook next time you're in line at her register? if she says yes, add her. then you can start to talk to her on there and feel her out. if she doesn't have a fb, then ask her for her number. act casual about it, as if you're just wanting it so you can hang out sometime. don't portray it as a date or anything. this way, if she's not gay or is not interested in you like that, you're not left looking like a total idiot.
the key is playing it low key. don't want to scare her off. good luck.
